KerShaw Spec Bump Assisted Opening Knife Review

KerShaw Spec Bump Assisted Opening Knife ReviewThe spec bump was designed by Ken Onion and Kershaw combined they have produced a very good line of knives and some of which i love like the Spec bump. The design of the blade is ideal for chopping with the belly of the blade being right in the spot where most of your chopping is done. What I like about this blade is that the belly transitions to a straight edge near the tip which is great for cutting and chopping.

KerShaw Spec Bump Assisted Opening Knife ReviewThe small reverse curve near the base of the blade makes it great for cutting rope and even acts like a hook to trap the rope in the curve to be cut.

KerShaw Spec Bump Assisted Opening Knife ReviewThere has been some controversy about the lock in these knife and some people say there not as good as other types but from what I have seen this lock is just as good as long as you're taking care of your knife if you let the spring in the lock get clogged with dirt and don't keep it oiled you may have some problems but I haven't had any problems with it at all.

KerShaw Spec Bump Assisted Opening Knife ReviewThe action of the knife is very smooth and quite which I really fond of it's so smooth in fact it feels hydraulic like. The design of the handle is very user friendly and the groves fit your hand perfectly. They have manufactured a handle that feels as good in the reverse grip as it does in the hammer grip. This is the largest folder I have used to date but I have found it very comfortable in the hand even though I have small hands.

KerShaw Spec Bump Assisted Opening Knife ReviewThe materials used in this tool are the very best like G-10 handles and Kershaw's Tungsten DCL coating one of the best coating I have seen and very durable .Now for the best part of this knife is its assisted opening I love this kind of knife so easy to open and close with one hand and you never know how fun it is to use or how useful it can be till you use it.

KerShaw Spec Bump Assisted Opening Knife ReviewThe proof of how well designed this knife is can be seen in the thumb bar or safe opening system this bar on the back of the blade is ideal for opening the knife it keeps your fingers away from the blade and even when the blade is open it still serves a purpose and adds to the curve of the top finger grip and makes a little stop to keep your hand from sliding down onto the blade. I could write all day about how much I like this knife but bottom line is I really like it and you should take it for a spin it will soon win you over fast!
