JK Survival Vest

PoorBest

Here’s a vest I've put together from what I think a person would need to survive short term. First I wanted a vest that will not fall apart! I’ve used a number of vests over the years and every single one after about a week of use fell apart on me. They wouldn’t hold up

at all to going thru the woods, and you need something that is very good quality like the BLACKHAWK EOD, because you’re going to be catching it on branches and tons of stuff! The vest you use needs to hold up to heavy use so go with a Blackhawk vest there the best. So the only vest that I have found that will withstand long term use in the woods is Tactical vests like this EOD model. They are the best you’re going to find period!

The BLACKHAWK EOD model is ideal because it has a wide assortment of pockets to fit all your gear with a full MOLLE back which you can be used to attach pockets and pouches to add more storage. On the inside of the vest there’s a large back slot which can hold a water bladder or even two it’s very large and covers the full size of the back. One could even use it to hold other stuff as well like clothing or tarps.

On the sides of the vest I’ve mounted two of my favorite knives. (The Rat Cutlery SERE and RC-4) This model of vest has nylon straps on the sides for tightening or loosening the vest not lacing, like the old ones did so you can easy hang gear off them.
